Description
Recently inherited an original watercolour painting of iconic Park Street, Bristol, UK, painted , by the internationally renowned artist Lionel Aggett, who was a family friend.
I am now looking to sell the painting, in order to help fund my own artistic endeavours.
About the painting:
• This approximately A1 size watercolour and pastel composition depicts the view from lower Park Street, up to the iconic Wills Memorial Building.
• Lionel's signature can be clearly seen in the lower left hand corner.
•The piece would be a great addition to both existing collectors of Lionel's work, or to anyone with current or previous connections to Bristol.
About the artist:
• Lionel Aggett set aside his 24-year professional career as a qualified architect in 1991 to paint full time. He exhibited with W.H. Patterson, Manya Igel, and Llewellyn Alexander in London and provincially with John Davies in Stow-on-the-Wold,The Walker Galleries in Harrogate and Sidbury, Sarah Samuels in Chester, Quay Gallery in Salcombe and the Waterside Gallery, St Ives.
• He was a member of the prestigious Pastel Society, an academician of the South West Academy, a member of STISA and the London Arts Club.
• He was the author six books including Andalucia & Las Alpujarras,The Heart of Devon and France for Halsgrove and has contributed to nine other titles, as well as several art magazines. (some of these I have and can show you).
• Lionel Aggett's work is held in private and public collections both nationally and internationally.
