Flexible Fundraising Volunteering Role

Are you a busy individual who would like to try your hand at fundraising? Are you looking for experience to add to your CV to give you the edge? Or are you returning to work and looking for recent experience to boost your chances of employment? In that case, we think we have the opportunity for you! As a Pin Badge Box Volunteer you can gain skills in:
• Money handling
• Stock ordering
• Interpersonal skills
• Planning and organising
• Time management
Role involvement:
• Place pin badge boxes and/or collection tins*
• Report and bank money raised
• Order badges
Where: Kelso and your local area
When: All year round/seasonal
Commitment: Between 1 to 4 hours per month, flexible to suit
You will get to gain valuable skills and help raise vital funds for the RSPB.
Why we want you?
We need you to help us raise funds for the RSPB. You may already have local connections or a desire to meet people. You know a great local place that would be ideal for a pin badge box (or a collection tin) and will make lots of money to towards conservation.
You have only a few hours to spare that you can use to check boxes every 4-6 weeks, banking money raised and ordering new stock as required.

The skills and talents you’ll need:
All you need is the ability to get out and about in your community. Find a prime location to place a pin badge box (or a collection tin)*.
You will be required to use our ROBINS system to log any money banked and order more stock. You will need access to a computer with internet. Only basic computer skills are required, we will provide training on our systems.
You are friendly, responsible, reliable, able to work alone and manage your time.
Notes:
By building a strong network and recruiting additional pin badge volunteers there may be future scope to be a pin badge coordinator.
Expenses covered.
*We can assist with placements and in some cases may have established boxes ready for a new volunteer to manage.
