Presonus' Eris series offers various studio monitor sets that combine user ease and mobility with transparency and excellent tone balance. The most compact edition - the Eris E4.5 set - consists of two near-field monitors that are suitable for demanding multimedia applications as well as straight monitoring jobs. A practical front-mounted aux input makes it easy to connect a laptop, a computer or a media player, while a headphone output allows for various ways of listening.

Inside its stylish black cabinet the Eris E4.5 monitor houses a 4.5-inch woofer, made of sturdy Kevlar, which delivers a tight bass response that extends as low as 70 Hz. A front-mounted bass reflex port ensures an additional dose of sound pressure, and the E4.5's 1-inch silk-dome tweeter produces transparent trebles. If your working space is limited, or if you often work on different locations, this Presonus monitor set - which weighs less than 6 kilos - is just the thing for you.
Configuration
The E4.5 set is made up of one active and one passive speaker. The former is equipped with connectors and a built-in amplifier module that supplies a power of two times 25 watts, and the latter can be connected by means of wire terminals. For optimal, interference-free audio transmission, a balanced TRS jack is at your disposal. However, you can also use the monitor's conventional RCA connectors, which makes the E4.5 compatible with a variety of devices and configurations.
