Rare Omega Ornate Gas Stove
Urn/Pot belly shaped portable gas stove. I believe it dates from between 1890 to 1920 & has a flueless interior & ventilation system with a single bunsen burner & a removable lid. Very ornate with claw type feet. Removable cast top & disc containing instructions of use.
The removable lid reads:
PATENT
DO NOT APPLY LIGHT TOO QUICKLY
AFTER TURNING GAS ON, FLAME MUST BE BLUE & STAND THREE INCHES ABOVE
SEE INSTRUCTIONS SENT WITH STOVE
I do not have the instructions mentioned above. This stove is in it's original condition, never touched! It is all intact. There is small crack in one of the cast iron pieces but can assure you that it does not wobble or move as it is very sturdy indeed.
I have been unable to find another one like it & have been advised that it is a very rare item.
