Lovely family in Banstead seek 3 day nanny housekeeper for an August start..
Monday and Tuesday - 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday - 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
children ages 5 and 7 years.
Nanny duties include:
(a) Care for the children and tend to their needs at all times being especially mindful of their health and safety.
(b) Ensure they are fed before school and that teeth brushing is done both morning and evening. Bath children.
(c) Take the children to and from school and other afterschool activities. Prepare the children’s bags, clothes, messages etc. for school each day and leave them ready on a Tuesday and Thursday night.
(d) Help with the homework every day and ensure they have the opportunity to do reading and creative/messy play or other fun activities as appropriate with on-going interaction.
(e) Ensure the toys etc. are put away and rooms are kept tidy.
(f) Shop for school and other clothing/shoes as appropriate with the children.
(g) During holiday times, when cleaning duties will be reduced, ensure that the children have outdoor activities and playdates are arranged with friends and family.
House keeping duties include:
(a) Keep the house clean and tidy. In particular, it would be expected that the house be fully cleaned on a Monday after the school drop off. This would include hoovering, mopping all relevant floors, dusting, cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. Washing all clothes.
(b) On a Tuesday, it would normally be expected that bedding would be changed and washed, towels would be washed and the family ironing done. If shopping grocery or other shopping needs to be done, Tuesday would be the normal day for these activities. Kitchen to be kept tidy.
(a) On a Thursday, the house would be hoovered and the kitchen and bathrooms cleaned with a general tidy up expected. In addition, on a Thursday ad hoc duties would be required such as occasionally cleaning the windows, the fridge, the oven, wiping down the cupboards and any last minute left over ironing.
(b) Unpack the dishwasher on a daily basis.
(c) Plan and prepare all meals and ensure protein, fresh fruit and vegetables are provided for both the children and parents.
(d) Shop where appropriate for items required for the children and household.
Person specification
Previous experience working with children is essential. A positive attitude, “can-do” approach with a willingness to be flexible on occasion. Being reliable and good timekeeping skills are essential.
A full clean drivers licence is required and own car is preferable.
A CRB check and two references will be required; one should come from the previous employment.
£9-10.00 gross per hour
